To someone whose ambition in life to be a freelance illustrator working in an office is tantamount to being emprisioned. Thankfully a sort of stockholm syndrome (and being able to pay the mortgage) makes it bearable... but only just!

If you tolerate this...

It has been a while since I last posted anything, I have been busy
mastering new work procedures. This is because I have swapped jobs, same
office - different desk, but importantly a different management! Boy, does
it make a difference who you work under! I have moved from an environment
of suspicion and paranoia, to one of calm and relaxed in a distance of less
than 20 feet! The difference is that some people let a little bit of power
go to their heads and some realise that being a supervisor in a crappy
little office in charge of half a dozen lackies is really no power at all
and it is a much easier life if you just get on with the job rather than
try to assert what little power you have at every available opportunity,
just to prove you have it!

Anyway, the work is pretty much the same, but the better atmosphere makes
it a much more tolerable job ...and I don't have to make tea for anyone any
more. Does this mean I have been promoted from by position as tea boy? I
suspose it does. (I still have to make my own, but it is still an
improvement)

It has just occured to me that I might have written less recently as I am
more content and therefore have less problems to get of my chest? Hmm, that
would make sense. Maybe I will have to write about nice things?

Hmm, we'll see.
